Miss Kohler

Introducing Miss Kyla Kohler, Jefferson's newest Kindergarten Teacher. While she is new to this position, she is hardly new to Jefferson. Miss Kohler is a Warsaw native who spent her own elementary years as a Spartan and later worked as a paraprofessional. She most recently graduated from Grace College with a dual degree in Elementary and Special Education after completing her student-teaching under Mrs. Sherri Snow in Kindergarten.

When asked about her reasons for pursuing education, Miss Kohler said, "I was blessed with amazing teachers who invested into my life and encouraged me to pursue my dreams and passions. I believe all students need a person like this in their life, and teaching allows me to do that while encouraging academic, social, and emotional growth."

Miss Kohler has two younger sisters and two younger brothers, who were all raised by two amazing parents. Miss Kohler said of her family, "We also are a foster family, so I am blessed to have 'bonus' siblings, as well."

In her spare time, Miss Kohler loves to be outside, relaxing in a hammock, and spending time with family and friends. She's a big coffee fan and always loves to try out new DIY projects.

We are blessed to have Miss Kohler, who is a former student of several current staff members, as a coworker. She has a huge heart for children and will be an incredible asset to our school community.

Welcome, Miss Kohler!
