Jefferson Elementary Celebrates Spartan Outfitters Trailer Project and Community Partnerships

WARSAW, IN - Jefferson Elementary’s Spartan Outfitters trailer project is a long-standing initiative that reflects the heart of Jefferson’s staff and community. The Spartan Outfitters team uses the trailer to travel into the community and provide essential items such as hats, coats, boots, gloves and other clothing to students and families in need.
A special thank you goes to Nicki Reeder for her leadership and vision in guiding the Spartan Outfitters initiative. Jefferson Elementary also extends sincere appreciation to the United Way of Kosciusko County for funding the trailer wrap and helping bring the vision to life. The school also thanks Dawn McGlothin and family for generously supporting the purchase of the trailer.
Jefferson would also like to recognize the Spartan Outfitters committee members who helped organize and support the project, including Kayla Conley, Jennifer Gernert, Jennifer McCammon, Christa Myers, Lindsey Rivir, and Lindsey Miller. Thank you to PTO President Stephanie Pahl for helping build the community connections that moved this project forward.
Additional thanks go to Blue River Digital for completing the trailer wrap and to Winona Lake Grace Church for their continued donations and ongoing support of the Spartan Outfitters initiative.
“The goal of Spartan Outfitters is to meet the basic needs of our students with respect and dignity, providing a foundation for learning, confidence, and hope,” said Nicki Reeder. “Sometimes the most important lesson we give isn’t in a classroom. It’s making sure every child feels secure, valued, and cared for.”
“I’m incredibly grateful for our staff and community partners who make this possible,” said Principal Joshua Wall. “This is who we are at Jefferson. Coming together to support every child.”
The Spartan Outfitters trailer is more than just a project. Through Spartan Outfitters, Jefferson continues its mission to support the whole child and serve the community beyond the walls of the school.
